PBCA Christmas Party 2002

In the same room that we have our welcome dinner the night before our annual Beach Bash, we also have a Christmas party for PBCA members that includes a very good dinner plus a "dirty santa" game for those who want to participate. PBCA club members drove British cars from various areas around Pensacola, met at the bay bridge, drove across the Escambia Bay and from Gulf Breeze all the way to Mary Ester, FL to have "hors d'oeuvres" at the home of Steve Sanders, dinner at the Bauers in Navarre, and desert at the Barbers back in Pensacola. Driving to the food!

This was PBCA's 3rd trip to the Fish Camp Restaurant located in Bon Secour, Alabama (just south of Fairhope, across the bay from Mobile, AL). Forty PBCAers turned out for the June 9th tour and brunch at the Fish Camp Restaurant in Bon Secour, AL. Even though it threatened rain early in the morning, plenty of LBCs showed up with tops down and ready to go.(Pictures by Bill Moseley)

This show was at the Best Western Valley View Lodge located three miles from the Smokey Mountain National Park. About 134 British car owners braved the rainy weather to make the show. Traveling the 9-hour trip to Townsend were PBCA members Tom & Jean Schmitz, Bill Silhan, and Mike & Cherie Japp. Also attending without cars were Richard Cunningham and Bob Plaxico. Bill's 1949 Triumph 2000 won "Best of Show" and Tom's MGA received 1st in class. Mike's Spitfire was among seven Spitfire's and two GT6's in the Spitfire/GT6 class. Pictures of the Spitfires at this show are in the latest issue of "Triumph Spitfire and GT6 Magazine", Volume 3, Issue 1, Page 57.
